Archaeology at Highland

The story of the #LostAndFound main house at Highland is still evolving. Thanks to a grant from the Archaeological Institute of American and the National Endowment for the Humanities, we spent a month this summer excavating the site of the 1799 main house at Highland. William & Mary students, several volunteers, and two summer staff members joined Executive Director Sara Bon-Harper in public archaeology: asking new questions of the past, and talking about this research with visitors.
