
Highland Celebrates 50 Years of William & Mary Ownership
Highland is celebrating William & Mary’s 50 years of stewardship with a new lecture series. The next program, Feeding the People: What does Food have to do with Heritage?, will take place virtually on Thursday, November 13, at 7pm. This program will feature Highland’s public historian, Dr. Lisa Armstrong, herself a member of Highland’s descendant community, together with a team of William & Mary students.
“Highland embodies the spirit of inquiry that is an essential part of the William & Mary community” said William & Mary alumni chapter president Alison Dwier-Seldon, “We are excited about sharing Highland’s forward-facing view of the past.”
Highland’s academic collaborations will be explored further in a virtual talk in February, 2026.
