Tuesday Tunes is now a FREE concert series! James Monroe’s Highland, in partnership with The Front Porch, will host the 4th annual Tuesday Tunes, a three-part series of summertime evening concerts at the home of President James Monroe. These performances are a perfect opportunity to bring the family out with blanket and chairs to enjoy music from Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region!

The second Tuesday Tunes of the season will take place on July 10, from 6 to 9 p.m., and will feature George Guthrie’s group, Meadow Mountain!

Local food and beverage vendors will be on-site. Guests are encouraged to buy or pack a picnic and experience the beauty of James Monroe’s Highland at dusk. While alcohol will be available for purchase at Tuesday Tunes, guests are asked to leave their own alcoholic beverages at home.

About Meadow Mountain

Meadow Mountain started as a group of friends busking on the corner of the Vail farmers market, and it wasn’t long before they were playing gigs around Vail and Summit counties. They formed initially over a love of traditional and progressive bluegrass music. The band has given a TED talk, hosted Denver’s only performance jam, and won the prestigious Rockygrass band competition. Other notable achievements include 1st place at the 2017 Ullrgrass band competition, 3rd place at the 2017 Telluride bluegrass competition, and opening for The Del McCoury Band. They live in Denver, CO.
