The correspondence between General Jackson and President Monroe sheds light on Jackson’s invasion of Florida and the relationship between the two men – figures who bridged the 18th and 19th centuries – and the broader impact of their actions on indigenous tribes and the enslaved families at the Hermitage and Highland. \nThis virtual event is free and open to the public.
