SUMMARY:Cookbook Pop-Up Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Join us on April 4\, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.\, for a Cookbook Pop-Up Exhibit. This pop-up exhibit will showcase how cookbooks are a unique historical source. What can we learn from cookbooks that we can’t get from other sources? Visitors will be encouraged to share their own cookbook collections and/or cooking histories to incorporate their stories into the exhibit. \nThese programs are in partnership with Highland’s latest project\, the Highland Descendants Foodways Project\, a collaboration between Highland\, the Council of Descendant Advisors\, and William & Mary’s Institute for Integrative Conservation. This project explores how food and recipes help tell a community’s history\, preserve its traditions\, and create new connections. \nAccess to the Cookbook Pop-Up Exhibit is including with the purchase of general admission tickets.
